Responsibilities:
- 1. Interpret and follow blueprints, ensuring accurate execution of deck designs.
- 2. Measure and cut materials with precision to meet project specifications.
- 3. Install and secure support structures, ensuring stability and safety.
- 4. Utilize various tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling deck components.
- 5. Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand design preferences and specifications.
- 6. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- 7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during construction, ensuring a high-quality finished product.
- 8. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques for continuous improvement.
- 9. Provide guidance and training to junior team members when applicable.
- 10. Comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the construction process.
- 11. Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, concerns, and modifications during the project.
- 12. Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality workmanship.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers license with clean driving record to operate company vehicles
- Previous experience as a Carpenter
- Attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
- Excellent problem solving skills to troubleshoot and address issues during construction
- Ability to read and take action on blueprints
- Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools
- Knowledge of building regulations and codes
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of manual labor
Preferred Qualifications:
- Skilled experience operating heavy duty pick up trucks and towing trailers
- Experience building high class deck and outdoor living projects
Compensation: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
